About MeI am originally from a small town in northern California. I grew up bilingual and in a multicultural home, which has played a big part in shaping my personal identity and world views. I use she/her/hers pronouns.
I’ve always had a bit of an independent streak, and by the time I was wrapping up high school, I was excited for the opportunity to explore a bigger city. I landed at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where I completed a double major in Applied Mathematics and Cognitive Science, as well as a minor in Computer Science. I have a wide range of interests, and my professional experience spans a variety of fields. My first job out of college — which brought me to Madison, Wisconsin — was as a software developer. I have also worked as a math tutor, dance instructor, and food tour guide. I recently completed a master's degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis (ELPA) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and I am now serving as the Assistant Vice President of Education at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County. In my personal time, I enjoy listening to news podcasts, trying new restaurants and recipes, and rewatching sitcoms. |
